Easter Day 2: 4 Levels of Power

Introduction
We recognise that the resurrection is not just an event, but a revelation of Jesus Himself alive and active in us. Through Him, we carry power, as it is written, “that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection” Philippians 3:10. We begin with the basic power given by the Holy Spirit, then grow into greater measures as we yield more of our lives to God. As we are continually filled, we experience increase, just as “they were all filled with the Holy Spirit” Acts 4:31, showing us that there are deeper levels available to us.
As we press further, we understand that mighty power comes through prayer, sacrifice, and encounters with God. We learn to die to the flesh daily, aligning with “I die daily” 1 Corinthians 15:31, so that His strength can be made perfect in us. The exceeding greatness of His power is revealed through understanding, as declared in Ephesians 1:19, and we begin to walk in authority, not by effort alone, but by revelation and intimacy with Him.
We commit ourselves to a lifestyle of prayer, fasting, and love, knowing that spiritual growth requires intentional pursuit. The Word reminds us that “the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” James 5:16, encouraging us to remain consistent and expectant. As we intercede, we see deliverance, healing, and breakthroughs, trusting that God is actively working in every area of our lives.
As we grow, we refuse to remain at the same level but choose to rise higher in God. We walk boldly in the authority given to us, remembering that “greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world” 1 John 4:4. Together, we live transformed lives, standing firm in faith, overcoming challenges, and celebrating God’s faithfulness as we move from one level of power to another.
Understanding the Power of the Resurrection in Our Lives
We come to realise that the power of Jesus’ resurrection is not distant, but active within us today. As it is written, “that I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection” Philippians 3:10, we begin to pursue a deeper walk with Him through faith, prayer, and revelation. We understand that this journey is progressive, where we grow from one level of strength to another as we seek God sincerely and consistently. Our desire is not just to know about power, but to live in it daily, allowing His Spirit to transform every area of our lives.
As we grow, we recognise the four dimensions available to us: power, great power, mighty power, and the exceeding greatness of His power. We see evidence of great power when “with great power gave the apostles witness” Acts 4:33, and we are reminded that there is always more in God. Through prayer and intimacy, we are strengthened, and through revelation, our understanding is opened to walk boldly in the authority God has given us.
Growing Through Prayer, Sacrifice, and Revelation
We learn that prayer is not optional but essential for spiritual growth. The Word tells us, “the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” James 5:16, and so we commit to building a consistent prayer life that increases our capacity in God. As we pray, fast, and study the Word, we begin to rise into mighty dimensions of power, encountering God in ways that reshape our thinking and strengthen our faith. We also understand that to walk in resurrection power, we must die to the flesh, just as “I am crucified with Christ” Galatians 2:20 teaches us.
Through revelation, we access the highest level of power, as our eyes are enlightened to know “what is the exceeding greatness of His power” Ephesians 1:19. We become intentional about living right, loving others, and winning souls, knowing that these are practical expressions of a powerful life. As we grow in understanding, we are no longer intimidated by the enemy, because “greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world” 1 John 4:4, and we walk confidently in victory.
Living in Healing, Authority, and Spiritual Awareness
We are reminded of the importance of discerning spiritual truths, especially concerning the body of Christ. The Word warns that “he that eateth and drinketh unworthily… eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body” 1 Corinthians 11:29. We take this seriously, knowing that understanding brings life, healing, and strength. As we approach God with reverence and awareness, we position ourselves to receive divine health and restoration in every area of our lives.
Even when we feel weak or oppressed, we choose to rise in faith, knowing that God has given us authority. We press into prayer, trusting that strongholds are broken and burdens are lifted. As we align ourselves with His Word, we begin to walk in freedom, experiencing the transforming power that comes from intimacy with God and a deeper understanding of His truth.
Walking Boldly in Power and Honouring Spiritual Leadership
We understand that spiritual growth requires discipline and intentionality. As we commit to fasting, studying the Word, and building a life of love and service, we become stronger in the Spirit. We are reminded that the enemy is not intimidated by passive faith, but he recognises those who walk in authority and truth. Therefore, we choose to know who we are in Christ and stand firm, exercising the power God has placed within us.
We also value and honour those who labour over us in the Lord, lifting them up in prayer for protection and strength. As we support and stand together, we create an atmosphere where God’s power flows freely. United in faith, we continue to grow, serve, and walk boldly, knowing that God is leading us from one level of glory and power to another.
