Ignite: Come up to the Lord

Ignite: Come up to the Lord

Introduction

We hear the clear invitation of God to rise higher, just as Moses was called to ascend Mount Sinai and encounter His glory. In Exodus 24:9–10, we see that when Moses went up, he experienced the visible presence of God, and his life was never the same. We believe this same call is upon us—to come up together, leaving familiar ground and stepping into deeper dimensions of faith. As we draw closer, God’s glory transforms us, bringing healing, clarity, and breakthroughs that cannot be accessed from a distance.

We recognise that God’s fire is already within us, stirred by His Spirit, but we are responsible to keep it burning through obedience and devotion, as encouraged in 2 Timothy 1:6. When we choose commitment over comfort, we experience the weight of His glory—His presence that carries authority, justice, and provision, just as described in Isaiah 60:1. We stand expectant, believing for growth and multiplication, asking God to impart fresh grace, prophetic sensitivity, and unshakable faith so we may overcome challenges and walk fully aligned with His purpose for maturity and expansion.

Who is the special guest mentioned at the beginning?

We warmly acknowledge and appreciate the presence of Apostle David Mitzi, who journeyed from Corby to be with us. His presence reminds us that God connects His people across places to strengthen and encourage one another in faith, as iron sharpens iron.

We see this as a reflection of unity in the body of Christ, where gifts are shared beyond local boundaries for mutual edification, in line with Romans 1:11–12.

What is the main biblical passage in focus?

We are anchored in Exodus 24:1–2, 16–18, where God calls Moses into His presence. This passage draws us into a deeper understanding of divine encounters and spiritual ascent.

As we reflect on this moment, we recognise God’s desire to reveal His glory to those willing to draw near with reverence and obedience.

What does God command Moses to do?

We hear God’s clear instruction to Moses: “Come up to the Lord,” not alone but with others. This teaches us that spiritual elevation is both personal and corporate.

We learn that obedience positions us to encounter God’s glory, just as Moses did when he ascended the mountain in response to God’s call Exodus 24:1.

What does “coming up to the Lord” signify?

We understand this call as an invitation into higher spiritual dimensions where faith is strengthened and miracles become evident. It is a call to rise above limitation and complacency.

Importantly, we rise together, knowing that growth is most powerful when the community moves in unity, as encouraged in Hebrews 10:25.

How is the glory of the Lord described?

We see the glory of the Lord revealed as a consuming fire, weighty and visible, symbolising God’s holiness and authority Exodus 24:17.

This glory is not abstract; it transforms lives, instils reverence, and releases divine power among those who encounter it.

What is the role of the fire on the altar?

We are reminded that the fire must never go out, as instructed in Leviticus 6:12. This represents the spiritual fire God ignites within us.

God supplies the fire, but we are entrusted with the responsibility to keep it burning through devotion and faithfulness.

What is our responsibility in maintaining God’s fire?

We accept that obedience and discipline are essential to sustaining spiritual passion. Compromise and neglect threaten what God has ignited.

By staying prayerful and responsive to the Spirit, we protect and nurture the fire God has placed within us 2 Timothy 1:6.

What dimensions are prophesied over the church?

We receive the declaration of increased grace, faith, healing, deliverance, and breakthrough. These are not distant hopes but present realities in Christ.

We believe yokes are broken and lives transformed as we respond in faith to what God is releasing Isaiah 10:27.

How is glory linked to kingdom prosperity and justice?

We understand that a king’s glory is revealed through righteous rule, justice, and the wellbeing of the people. God’s glory brings order and flourishing.

As His kingdom is established among us, we expect visible fruit in every area of life Psalm 89:14.

What encouragement is given for spiritual growth?

We are urged not to remain where we are, but to rise now into higher levels of spiritual maturity. Delay is not required when God calls us upward.

With expectation and faith, we look forward to new dimensions of God’s power and glory being revealed in our lives Philippians 3:14.
