Introduction
We believe that supernatural advancement is unlocked when we give ourselves to fasting, prayer, and obedience to God’s divine instructions. Even when His guidance seems simple or difficult, we choose to trust and act in faith, knowing that obedience brings blessing (Deuteronomy 28:1–2). Just as Abraham obeyed without knowing where he was going (Hebrews 11:8), we learn to follow God step by step. Fasting and prayer help us tune our hearts to His voice, preparing us to receive and respond to divine direction with boldness and clarity.
We understand that God’s instructions often require personal sacrifice, but the Holy Spirit is our teacher, comforter, and source of strength (John 14:26). Instead of relying only on human wisdom or the letter of the Word, we lean on Spirit-led understanding that brings life and transformation (2 Corinthians 3:6). As we walk in sensitivity to His leading, we make wiser decisions, witness God’s power at work, and experience breakthroughs that glorify Him. By following divine instructions with faith and perseverance, we position ourselves for growth, impact, and the fulfilment of our destiny.
What is the importance of divine instructions?
We recognise that divine instructions are essential for walking in God’s will and advancing in life. Even when His directions seem unclear or unconventional, we choose to trust and obey, knowing that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8–9). God uses instructions to position us for blessings, breakthroughs, and fulfilment of His purpose.
When we consistently follow God’s guidance, He leads us into places we could never reach by our own strength. Just like Peter obeyed Jesus’ unusual instruction to cast the net again and caught a multitude of fish (Luke 5:4–6), we too experience supernatural results when we act in faith, even when the instruction challenges our logic.
Why do many people miss divine instructions?
We often miss divine instructions because they may seem too simple, illogical, or inconvenient. Instead of obeying fully, we sometimes delay, alter, or dismiss them, which hinders the outcome God intends. Naaman almost missed his healing because dipping in the Jordan seemed too ordinary (2 Kings 5:11–14).
When we rely on reasoning more than faith, we risk missing divine opportunities. Obedience requires humility and consistency. As we grow in discernment, we learn not to underestimate the power behind God’s simple yet strategic directions.
What example is given about the importance of consistency in following divine instructions?
We understand that divine instructions often require persistence over time. An example shared was obeying God’s direction to fast for 30 consecutive weeks. Missing a single week meant breaking the divine pattern, which could prevent the expected breakthrough from manifesting.
This reminds us that partial obedience is still disobedience. Just as Joshua had to march around Jericho exactly as God commanded to see the walls fall (Joshua 6:2–5), we too must follow instructions precisely and consistently to see God’s hand move.
The difference between proactive and reactionary behaviour
We learn that being proactive reflects maturity and spiritual sensitivity. Proactive people act before being told; they anticipate what needs to be done, much like Joseph prepared Egypt for famine through God’s wisdom (Genesis 41:33–36). Such people are often promoted because they align quickly with God’s agenda.
Reactionary people, however, wait passively and need constant prompting. This lack of initiative can make them appear unserious or unfruitful. As followers of Christ, we are called to be proactive in obeying God’s Word and responding to His Spirit.
What role does the Holy Spirit play in understanding scripture?
We acknowledge that the Holy Spirit is our ultimate teacher, comforter, and guide (John 14:26). He opens our eyes to spiritual truths, brings to remembrance the words of Jesus, and enables us to grasp the deeper meaning of scripture beyond its surface.
Without the Spirit’s illumination, reading the Bible can become mechanical. But with His help, the Word comes alive, bringing revelation, wisdom, and transformation that shape how we live and make decisions daily.
Why can’t artificial intelligence replace the inspiration of the Holy Spirit in preaching?
We understand that true inspiration flows from God alone. While AI can organise facts or generate information, it cannot impart the power, conviction, or spiritual transformation that the Holy Spirit gives (Zechariah 4:6).
The Holy Spirit breathes life into words, piercing hearts and producing real change. No human or technological ability can replicate His divine influence, which is why we rely fully on Him for true revelation and impact.
The letter versus the spirit of the scripture?
We recognise that focusing only on the letter of the scripture without the Spirit leads to legalism and lifelessness. As written, “the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life” (2 Corinthians 3:6).
When the Holy Spirit illuminates the Word, it becomes a living force that transforms our hearts, renews our minds, and empowers us to live out God’s will with boldness and clarity.
What is meant by ‘the veil is taken away’ in relation to reading the Bible?
We understand that the “veil” represents spiritual blindness or dullness. When we turn to the Lord, the veil is removed (2 Corinthians 3:16), allowing us to see scripture with clarity and spiritual insight.
This means our hearts are opened, and the Holy Spirit enables us to comprehend God’s Word not just intellectually but spiritually, leading to true understanding and transformation.
The effect of the word of God on people’s lives
We believe the Word of God is alive and active, bringing visible transformation, miracles, and undeniable proofs in people’s lives (Hebrews 4:12). When we receive it with faith, it produces change that no one can dispute.
Through the Word, we’ve witnessed healing, deliverance, and supernatural advancement. It’s more than text—it’s God’s power at work in us, shaping our destiny and revealing His glory.
What is the significance of wisdom according?
We embrace that wisdom is the principal thing to pursue, even more than prayer alone (Proverbs 4:7). Without divine wisdom, prayers may lack direction and effectiveness.
When God’s wisdom guides us, our prayers align with His will, our steps become purposeful, and we avoid unnecessary mistakes. Wisdom equips us to handle life with understanding and grace.
How should believers approach prayer and the word of God?
We are called to approach both prayer and the Word with humility and dependence on the Holy Spirit. Prayer without the Word can lack foundation, and the Word without prayer can lack power.
By combining both, we allow the Spirit to inspire our understanding and shape our petitions, leading to effective results and a deeper walk with God (John 15:7).
What is the ‘parakletos’ and why is it important?
We rejoice that the Holy Spirit is our Parakletos (παράκλητος) Helper, Advocate, Comforter, Intercessor, and Strengthener (John 14:16). He stands by us, guiding us through every situation.
Without Him, we cannot fully understand or follow divine instructions. He empowers us to live victoriously and walk in obedience to God’s will with confidence.
How can one know if a message or teaching is truly inspired by God?
We discern inspiration by the presence and witness of the Holy Spirit. Teachings inspired by God align with scripture, bring transformation, and produce spiritual fruit (Matthew 7:16).
Through sensitivity to the Spirit, we can distinguish between human wisdom and divine revelation, ensuring we follow God’s truth rather than opinions or fleshly motives.
What example is given about the power of the Holy Spirit working through Paul?
We are reminded of the extraordinary miracles God did through Paul. Even handkerchiefs and aprons that touched him healed the sick and drove out evil spirits (Acts 19:11–12).
This demonstrates that the Holy Spirit’s power works through willing vessels, bringing healing, deliverance, and undeniable manifestations of God’s presence.
What is the difference between being a hearer and a doer of the word?
We acknowledge that hearing the Word alone is not enough. As James 1:22 teaches, hearers deceive themselves if they do not act on what they’ve heard.
Doers, however, apply the Word in daily life, resulting in transformation, advancement, and lasting fruit. True faith is demonstrated through obedience.
Describe the relationship between faith and action
We believe faith must always be accompanied by action. As James 2:17 says, faith without works is dead. Obedience is the proof of genuine faith.
When we put God’s Word into practice, we see His power manifest. Our faith becomes active, producing breakthroughs, favour, and supernatural advancement.
